Family

The history of Masseria Mita, managed by the Empress family, is a continuous revival between tradition and innovation. The generational transition in the management of agricultural properties has led to the birth of a dynamic company in the heart of the territory of the Cento Masserie di Crispiano, where concreteness and commitment are proverbial. Armando first and Vincenzo then, began an important revolution of their property of about 45 hectares 1/2 century ago. They have pursued a single project: to modernize a traditional reality par excellence such as agriculture, in order to seek quality.

The excellences of the territory of the hundred farms stand out and assert themselves in the food and wine sector and, in particular, in the fascinating world of wine and oil of which Masseria Mita is a formidable example.

We responsibly pursue the protection of the environment to protect the territory to be handed down to future generations.

Safety, environmental sustainability, quality, typicality and economic sustainability are the essential prerogatives of the work and commitment of the Empress family. A work, often hidden, based solely and exclusively on "virtuous" behaviors aimed at protecting the environment, to enhance the productions linked to the territory.

This small rural reality is an example of "Made in Italy", highly varied, diversified and made of inimitable and priceless "excellence".

We believe that a fundamental element to preserve the territory is organic farming. Protect the workplace of those who work on the farm and preserve the experience of plant care in the various cultivation phases. Closing the supply chain cycle, from the field to the bottle, because only having the total traceability of what we offer allows us to offer the consumer genuine agri-food products at fair economic conditions.

We are really happy to let you taste the company's products on site. Visitors will be welcomed with warmth, sympathy and the great respect we have for our land. Vincenzo and Maria make the welcome they reserve for all those who visit their company unique and pleasant.

During our travels we loved to discover the beauty of the territories of their excellences lovingly told, we liked to bring home wines and typical products. So one day we decided to dedicate ourselves to the beauty of our territory and commit ourselves to the enhancement of the same starting from Masseria Mita.

We were involved by Mrs. Anna De Marco in the establishment of the Consortium of the hundred farms of Crispiano, which made us open to a collaboration with the territory.

Our goal was to give value to the fruits of our land, we worked alongside professionals and through their advice we came to close a short supply chain process. When we were ready to promote our products, the situation was reversed, (we were the ones who proposed) also because we decided to reach our partners: wine shops and restaurateurs directly throughout the territory of the Puglia Region. Thanks to this itinerant work throughout the region, we were able to learn more about the area with its history and its splendid traditions. This diversity of territories makes the Puglia Region truly unique.
